Contract Management Analyst

SUMMARY
We are looking for a Contract Management Analyst who will be trade and manage bunker contracts that span in tenures from 1 month upwards, usually up to about 2 years in length.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Contract Management team is the responsible desk for the long term agreements of physical deliveries across Peninsula’s supply-physical operations and also non-physical supply operations (b2b long term agreements) at a global scale. The team therefore manage, analyse and synthesize information from different sides of the industry such as Cargo Trading, Customer Performance, Pricing, Derivatives (Oil & Freights), Supply Chain, Trading Strategy, forex, etc, in order to develop commercial proposals, including related strategies, and monitor its performance.
- Keep a high understanding of Peninsula’s global setup, trading dynamics and developments.
- Monitor market behaviours, performing analysis of products, ports and other economic factors (Global supply/demand, availability, arbitrage, competitors, developments, news)
- Develop internal strategies, financial analysis, commercial solutions and opportunity & synergy detection.
- Manage the contract portfolio in order to monitor its performance and optimize its profitability
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the differentials exposure generated of sales contracts.
- Set up and monitor quoting procedures (validity, volume tolerances, overnight, cancellations…)
- Promote and quote term contracts.
- Perform market analysis for the team to support the business strategy.
- Have a good understand of the structured products Peninsula offers.
- Adhere to all procedures/processes & policies with regard to usage of Company information systems, including CRM, trading platform, etc.
- Put in place and help improve current procedures.
- Buy side supply contracts creation.
- Sales contract Cancelations & amendments helpdesk
- Account statement performance
- Mismatch contract payment Management
- Develop partnership with Supply Desks & IDS to take advantage of competitors favourable prices
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Strong knowledge of Financial Instruments – derivatives, futures, forex, freights, interest rates
- Financial risk management: Differentials, Structure, swaps and futures: behaviour, methodology, rights and obligations
- Business level of English language essential
- Confident individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persuasive and influential by nature, a highly effective negotiator able to ‘think on your feet’.
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Ability to swiftly express key information to facilitate line manager / Regional Head decision making.
- High level of commercial acumen, able to think analytically and strategically and understand the wider business context.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and towards shared goals but equally able to work independently with a minimal level of supervision.
- Ambitious, self-motivated and demonstrating a willingness to continually develop own knowledge and skills.
- High level of computer literacy including proficiency of MS Office package and able to work with CRM systems
